Design Directions: Modern Master Progress

I plan on combining both my favourite of the images of Harriet, shown in an earlier post with images of a toadstool/mushroom and a caterpillar to recreate the image below:


And also that of a turtle and butterfly for this image.


I then plan on choosing my favourite of the two to submit.

I have included 4 studio portraits, and 4 shots taken in a more familiar and comfortable situation. e.g. a party. I wanted to make the party shots a lot less formal and more fun.

First I combined 2 of the images, to create the image below, I then added text, I wanted the text to appear as if part of the lights.

However I was not sure about this design and so have also created one using simply the original image.

Design Directions: Cd/Album

The Album cover I have decided to redesign is Ellie Goulding - Lights, shown below. As I feel, although it shows the artist it does not really represent the album name and could be more dynamic. I do however like the idea of making her name appear like neon lights and aim to somehow convert this into my own idea.


My first Idea was to simply take pictures of 'lights' :

 I also took a set with a friend of mine as a model, using a slow shutter speed:

My plan is to incorporate 2 of these images and also include text.

Design Directions: Final Design of Book Cover

I have cropped the image to a book cover size and added my name as the author and a title. I used the name "Loss of innocence" to link in with the image of a child/ younger figure, yet ghosts creating a darker side.
